There will be blog candy for hopping to each blog and leaving a comment. Now, for the details...if you did not start at the beginning head on over to Lisa's blog and start there.

You should have arrived here from Deb's blog.
For my project I wanted to work on one of my crafting goals for the year...to make a seasonal banner for each holiday for my hutch...so I created this adorable little burlap banner. I used burlap and the paper collection "Arsenic and Lace" from Bazzill. I kept it pretty simple but really like how it turned out.

Hope you enjoyed! Now hop on over to Jessica's blog.

Challenge:  Color Challenge
Orange, Purple, Green & Black
October 22 - 28, 2013

Well, I have a new obsession...getting my planner ready for next year. As I was thinking about it and deciding how I plan to utilize my planner, I came to the conclusion I need some order in my life...some organized order. So, I was going to put my blogger planner pages in my regular planner but then took a step back and thought about how I would use it...so I came up with the idea to create my own blogger planner and have it be a 6x6 planner. With that idea came the thought I need to make everything myself cause planners...well they just don't come in that size. So for my dividers I am going to use 6x6 paper pads and this challenge this week lent itself perfectly to creating the divider for October.

On the little purple tab over there I will stamp the word "October."
I could not for the life of me find my stamp set that has the months on it.

Supplies Used:
Spectrum-Noir Markers
Paper Smooches "Falling for You" Stamp Set
Doodlebug Halloween on Parade: Paper Pad, Doodlepops, Flair, On the Web Washi
and the Purple tab is 2 back to back sticky notes taped together...haha

Head on over to Cuttin' and Stampin' to see other inspiration.
Make sure you enter our challenge!

Challenge:  Chalk Board
October 15 - 21st, 2013

I made a super quick scrapbook layout today. I am absolutely loving this My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio. Here is a super big hint though...if you are a scrapper and use 12x12 pages you are going to want to buy 2 collection packs...I don't typically do that but there are some really cute whole page designs on one side and then patterns on the other. I had a very difficult time deciding what to use.

For my layout today I had to do one without pics...I needed pics from my daughter and well...just did not get them in time...I am going to use this layout for the kids first day of school. I will then use a complimentary page for other pictures of that day. Check back on my blog next week for the other side!

I used one of those lovely whole page designs as my background, then used a couple of the layered stickers that coordinate beautifully with the collection. The pattern paper for the photo mats was the flip side of the saying card on the bottom left. I just had to decide which of the 3 sayings I was the least fond of. Boy was it difficult. All in all I really like this paper but man I wish I had bought 2 collections!

Make sure you head over to Cuttin' and Stampin' for lots more inspiration.

Challenge:  Chalk Board
October 15 - 21st, 2013

Thanks so much for joining me today. I made a really cute card from the Chalk Board kit...and I am going to use this card right away. I get to give it to my grandson who is in 4th grade and achieved his first ever Honor Roll. They do not start that until 4th grade in our county. So we are very proud of our little man. So this paper collection is very versatile, it can be used for basically any project.

Supplies Used:
My Mind's Eye Chalk Board: tan print background, camera background
My Mind's Eye Chalk Board: Cardstock Stickers Shine on, and Label sticker
Tan Cardstock as my base
Close to My Heart: white daisy ink
We R Memory Keepers: Corner Chomper (I used the 1/2" side)
Cat's Eye: Chestnut Roan ink
All Night Media: 1/2" pop dots

Join us over at Cuttin' and Stampin' to see some awfully cute inspiration this week.

Scrapbook Blessings Club Challenge

As some of you know and maybe some don't...I just made a new Design Team! I am thrilled and excited to be on this Design Team and get to know these wonderful ladies...but most of all to share my creativity with you.

Today is the beginning of the next challenge! Hope you are inspired by my creation and head on over to the Scrapbook Blessings Club to see what the whole team has to share and to also enter your creation in our challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with us.

I have had this card rolling around in my head for some time now. So, when this challenge came along I though oh perfect time to execute this card. I sponged the background of some white card stock with Barn Red, Golden Ember, and New England Ivy ink from Close to My Heart. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink. I have soooo wanted to emboss lately so I stamped my leaves in embossing ink and then used some gold, red, and green embossing powders I had on hand and embossed them. I then backed the card with a lovely shade of green Bazzill paper. I was kind of pleased with how this turned out...especially since I have only ever made one other "triple time stamping" card!

Tip: Sometimes embellishments are not needed.

Tip: A finished card on the inside makes for a complete presentation.

I recently purchased my first set of alcohol markers. I could not at this point in my life justify the huge cost of the expensive brand most people use (and I am a gotta have it all right now kind of girl) so I decided to go with Spectrum-Noir markers. I absolutely LOVE them! I will be doing a video tutorial on them soon...(I am still waiting on 2 sets of 24 to arrive) so as soon as they are complete I will do that. The weekend after they arrived I housed a little mini scrapbook retreat with 2 girlfriends at my house and we spent several days just having fun and coloring. Suddenly, while coloring it came to me well I don't want to give away all my creations so I came up with the idea to pin up a card for each season/holiday. So, I created 2 different ones that weekend and want to share with you one of them.

My tip for today: It really does take practice when learning a new skill! Especially when you flunked coloring in Kindergarten!

This adorable Tilda will grace my board sometime during the Spring.
And I also learned how to create and build fancy schmancy cards!

Challenge:   Halloween
October 1 - 7th, 2013

I have a cute, adorable project for you today using the absolute ghoulish "Halloweenies" stamp set and matching dies by Paper Smooches. I recently received this wonderful surprise gift from a friend...totally unexpected and out of the blue....a Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine! I did not have anything prior with which to cut dies with and was so excited to get and play with it. Included were a bunch of extras; embossing folders galore, and a few dies.

I used one of the dies and some various colors of Orange Bazzill cardstock and cut these petal fold boxes. I glued them together and because the glue I was using just was not adhering them well I cut out strips of the Arsenic and Lace paper to go around the boxes. This also served as my station for my cute little decorations.

Next, I colored the stamped images with my brand new Spectrum-Noir alcohol markers...(stay tuned for a review and some more coloring with them)! And because this is the first time I have used the dies I stamped and colored first and then cut...later found out it should be the opposite. I found a wonderful little tip though while watching a YouTube Video...use post-it notes to hold your die and paper in place! Wow, I tried it and it worked! I then, pop dotted the image and put it on the tag or the strip.

So, here are my cute little boxes...I am going to use them as treat boxes for my 7 grandchildren. I have 3 more to make before the end of the month.

Here are the supplies I used for this project:

Bazzill Orange Cardstock: Various shades I had in my stash
Bazzill Arsenic and Lace Paper
Paper Smooches Halloweenies Stamp Set and Matching Dies
Ranger Pop Dots: Note these are some mega pop dots...if you need
to make your image really stand out these are the ones to use.
Spellbinders Grand Templates: Square Petal Top Box
Some orange ribbon from my stash: it said Trick or Treat!
Spectrum-Noir Alcohol Markers

Be sure to play along with us and enter your Halloween creation. All the details can be found and you can check out all the other Halloween inspiration over and Cuttin' and Stampin'.
