Friday Layouts over at SBC!

Welcome to Friday Layouts over at the Scrapbook Blessings Club! I have a really fun summer layout to share with you today! My family goes to the beach every summer together for a weekend long trip. I sooo look forward to this trip every summer. This is a couple years ago or more...I pulled this layout to show my sweet little babies and also this wonderful paper...I was soooo in love with this paper from Imaginisce wish I had bought a ton of it!

TIP: The title "Splish Splash" was actually a connected Cricut image that I cut apart to get the look I wanted. Don't be afraid to alter your Cricut/Sillhouette cuts to suit your needs.

Hope this inspired you to get busy on those pictures and create some fun summer layouts.

Cuttin' and Stampin' DT Day!

Cuttin' & Stampin' Challenge

Welcome crafters..today is the Tuesday challenge at Cuttin' & Stapmin'  and this week it is all about little Monsters.  What better way to showcase monsters than with Paper Smooches' Space Cadet stamp set and the paper collection from Fancy Pants....Be Different.

Fancy Pants Be Different paper collection and PS Space Cadet stamp set

Today I created a get well card for my daughter's stash and this cute little package decoration for my grandson's 5th birthday party. This was really a super cute paper collection and stamp set to work with.

I covered the bubble on the space ship with liquid glass to make it shine.

SBC! Monday Die Cuts!

I have a review of a wonderful Cricut cartridge and some tips to share with you about making your flowers from this cartridge.

Here is the cartridge image and some images from the cartridge:

Here are my projects:

I made one of the flowers that had 3 different cuts,
made 2 different sized roses and made leaves for them.

Tips for this cartridge:
Using a petal roller (quilling tool) makes creating the flowers that roll a whole lot easier.
Cut your leaves at the same time you cut your flowers
so you will make sure they are all sized to your flower.
Putting together the flowers that have 3 different cuts are a bit tricky...make sure you are lining them up it will get off center easy.
Smash your flowers down after creating them so they open up a bit.

Thanks for joining us today, hope you enjoyed this cartridge...it is a really fun one!

Scrapbook Blessings Challenge

Welcome to Scrapbook Blessings Club Challenge! So glad you could pop over here and take a look. This was a simple but fun card to create. Adding to my personal stash of cards for a future occasion. Come on over to SBC and see the other inspirations and join in on the challenge.

Let's Review!

Hello out there...there have been some fabulous projects this week over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. Have you joined our latest challenge over there? You have a few more days!

Well, without further adieu let's get to the review! Today I am reviewing the brand new Tim Holtz mini distress inks and the mini blending tool.

These inks are soooo nice! They are very versatile and certainly convenient. A great size to pack up and take to a crop. Grab a little Thirty One cube and pack all of them in for easy taking with your other supplies, or grab a lock tight container from your local Wal Mart and store all of them that way for ease of travel.

Now on to how they work...the tool makes blending and putting these inks on your project super easy...I recently used for the first time the rectangle blending tool that I won this past December on a card...well that tool was very hard to handle I thought and also hurt my hand. The round handle makes this tool super comfortable to hold and very convenient to use. The colors from the mini cubes are great and very vibrant.

I used the tool and the inks to create the background on this cute and fast birthday card for my grandson at the end of this month. The ease of the tool to put the ink to paper worked wonderful!
