Spring is upon us here in Sunny Central Florida! And you know what that means? Warm weather, Easter, outdoor activities and flowers!!!   I have a beautiful layout to share with you that I completed just yesterday at a fantastic crop I went to with some friends. It is always so nice to get together and crop with friends. I got 7 layouts completed!!! YIPPEE!!!

Easter.

It was my day to have an Easter project!! I had so much fun designing this project. As soon as the package arrived from our leader I knew right away when I saw those bags that I was going to make these little treat bags for my grandchildren as Easter presents.

My project is very picture heavy...I made a very unique mini-album for the pictures from one Easter. I don't do mini-albums often but I have made several over the years...I think this one is my most favorite I have ever done. It was a whole bunch of graduated sized squares so I put them together to create this mini-album. Hope you enjoy all the pics.

Top O' The Morning To Ya!

Hope all of you are doing well on this fine St. Patrick's Day! It is nice, sunny and warm here in Central Florida and boy am I glad! Do you have your green on? I certainly do....in fact I even wore green pjs to bed so I had on green from the get go this morning!!

For my project I created this layout from last year's St. Patrick's Day celebration with my family. The picture is of me and all my grandchildren! All 7 of them!! That doesn't happen very often so I treasure it when it does!

My project is:   A Layout of helping my grandson complete a cooking project for extra credit in his Science class. I am working on a backlog of pictures while also scrapping current ones so this layout helps scrap those memories that are in that backlog! This was back when he was in 6th grade! I am so happy that I can be there for my grandkids! I used paper from my favorite company...Echo Park.

It's Dr. Seuss Day!



Welcome to the Wonderful World of Dr. Seuss! We are so happy you dropped by to celebrate his birthday with us. He was a wonderful highly revered children’s author who many of us learned to read by. The quote below is taken from a Wikipedia entry about his life. I myself (Teresa)  am so thrilled to have had the privilege to teach about him during my years as a school teacher.


“In May 1954, Life magazine published a report on illiteracy among school children, which concluded that children were not learning to read because their books were boring. Accordingly, William Ellsworth Spaulding, the director of the education division at Houghton Mifflin who later became its Chairman, compiled a list of 348 words he felt were important for first-graders to recognize and asked Geisel to cut the list to 250 words and write a book using only those words.[33] Spaulding challenged Geisel to "bring back a book children can't put down." [34] Nine months later, Geisel, using 236 of the words given to him, completed The Cat in the Hat. It retained the drawing style, verse rhythms, and all the imaginative power of Geisel's earlier works, but because of its simplified vocabulary, it could be read by beginning readers. The Cat in the Hat and subsequent books written for young children achieved significant international success and they remain very popular today. In 2009 Green Eggs and Ham sold 540,366 copies, The Cat in the Hat sold 452,258 copies, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish (1960) sold 409,068 copies—outselling the majority of newly published children's books.[35]”

I spent last year teaching Kindergarten and we had a big huge celebration on Dr. Seuss day. This is the first  layout toward documenting my year in K. I was very excited that I got to teach Kindergarten while my granddaughter also started school. She was so very excited that she got to be with her grandma at school and we were in the same grade level.
