Life Update

Hi everyone, just wanted to stop in and give an update on things going on with me! I also do have some cards to share as well.

The first quarter of my year went fantastic...I was moving along great keeping up with things and then boom...I felt like I ran into a brick wall! I am staying on top of things that I totally enjoy so. that is a good thing. However, some things that I do enjoy have just had to fall by the wayside. Very unfortunate because I did not want my year to be like this!

So, what has fallen by the wayside is the weekly blog series I was doing...so my blog is used for randomness! LOL! The other thing that has had to take a back seat, for now, is my decorative planning and planning videos...I was so gungho with that at the beginning of the year but I found myself falling further and further behind so I just had to give it up for now.

I bet you are wondering what in the world could be going on that would prevent me from all of these great things I want to do. In April I found out I have some medical things going on...nothing hugely serious but serious enough that it has taken up a lot of my time with Doctor appointments and well some worry on my part.

It is not all over yet...still dealing with it but if you are the kind of person that lifts others up in prayer I sure could use some.

Now onto some better things...yesterday (Friday, August 19) and today (Saturday, August 20) I spent some time in my craft room cleaning and pulling some things out of my stash that were screaming to get used up....they had been hanging around for way too long!

I created 26 cards...21 are completely finished...5 of them are to be finished another day...I didn't have appropriate focal images for those 5. Hope you enjoy the cards and thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

Spring & Easter Card Series Card #5

Easter is creeping up fast! I am so excited that I still get to  send my little grands  some Easter treats. I     might not be able to see them   but I can   still send them some paper and  candy love!

Today's card reminds me of me sending them some special Easter treats and let them know that  Grandma loves them so!

Paper from my stash
Lawn Fawn Easter Party Stamp
Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Stamp

Make sure you head on over to Cardmaking Blonde to see what she has up today.

Spring & Easter Card Series #2

I am so not getting off to a great start here...yesterday's post I totally did not get my card added until today and here it is 8:10PM and I am just now getting my card posted for today. Hopefully, the rest of the week will go better ... at least all the cards are created!

I have spent the past two weeks working on Easter cards for a donation to a nursing home my friend works at. So glad I can spread some cheer.

I used Copic Markers to color the tulips.
The stamp is: Spring Tulips by Sweet & Sassy
The Paper is from my stash I am unsure of the brand.
The sentiment is from Doodlebug Designs Hoppy Easter Stamp.
Make sure to stop by Cardmaking Blonde to see what she has up today!

Enjoy all the wonderful creations our team and guest designer has for you today. So, sit back and join along in our fantasy world this morning.

Thanks for hopping along. I am thrilled you are here. For my creations this month I decided to take 1 collection and do a card with each sketch. So you will only see 1 collection from me. If you want to see all the others...then join me over on our YouTube channel throughout the month as I branch out and begin adding more content to our channel. One of the ways I plan to do this is to bring you more card kit process videos amongst some other things! (This has been on my plate for way too long and it is time to do something about it!)

So, jump in and take a look at the cards I have created this month:

On all of these cards I used Collection #2 and components only within that collection.
I used Sketch 1 on this card and  the Avery Elle "Be A Unicorn" stamp and stamped it on the focal element of the card sketch. I colored this with my Polychromos colored pencils. I also used as elements on my card the beautiful sparkly star buttons that came with the kit.

This card was Sketch #2 which I rotated. I used the cut apart for my focal point and then used the "Over the Rainbow" doodlepop that was the extra embellishment in the Banana Split kit to embellish the saying. I then scattered the Kennedy Grace sequins all over the card. Pretty simple and easy this one was.

Sketch 3 was the most time consuming but only because it needed so many elements. I did change it up a bit from the sketch...You can find the sketches on the download page of the website. I used one of the sticker icons as my main focal point and then used the cut apart sheet as my sentiment on the page. I really liked how this one turned out!

Sketch 4 was the simplest of all...a circle, strip, and a focal image! I added that rainbow star for some interest in the top left and the extra sentiment at the bottom.

Thanks so very much for stopping by and sharing part of your day. I hope I have inspired some crafty inspiration. Don't forget to check out our YouTube channel throughout the month and see the new content that will be going up. So, if you don't want to miss out be sure and go and subscribe!

A Sweet Thank You!

Has someone ever touched a loved one's life so profoundly you knew you had to thank them in some way?

My granddaughter was in a friend of mine's classroom this year in 5th grade. Mrs. Hindley forever laid an imprint on my granddaughter's heart and life. I watched Hannah grow from a bit insecure and not confident in her abilities little girl to blossom into a confident, outgoing, bubbly young lady!

So thankful for great teachers who pour their lives into students...Mrs. Hindley is moving to 6th grade next year and Hannah would be doubly blessed to have her again.

I created this card to send out to my friend as a thank you/congratulations card. Thanks for the great impact she made on Hannah's life this year and congrats on the brand new job!

Scrapping for Less: Grand Opening Blog Hop!

Hello All!
Happy Saturday! We are so excited to bring you a blog hop celebrating the opening of scrappingforless.com ! We wanted to do something fun for you all as you are the best customers under the sun and have helped make this dream a reality.
So before we get busy hopping we need to let you all know a few bits of information for this new site.
·         All items that are on the website are what we consider “leftovers” which means they are not new to any of you that order through the FaceBook Group on a regular basis.
·         Scrappingforless.com will be available 24 hours, 7 days a week so that you can go shopping AND you can check out as well with a credit card or PayPal whichever method you prefer.
·         scrappingforless.com WILL NOT be replacing Scrapping For Less FaceBook Group, so if you are looking for Scrap Supplies at less than retail prices the FaceBook Group is STILL the place where all the pre-order albums will be listed.

There will be lots of fun games, prizes and scrappy things going on Saturday with the Facebook Event. You will want to be there. Each blog will have a small giveaway with the Scrapping for Less blog having a bigger one. To be eligible to win each blog's prize you will need to comment on the individual blogs but to win the Scrapping for Less prize you will need to comment on each blog and the SFL blog. So try to be there! You are going to want to join in on the fun!

Each one of the blog hop participants has created something using older products they purchased from Scrapping for Less. Since the focus of the website will be to sell what I term as "leftovers" yet fabulous and great products we have focused on those items we as crafters seem to purchase and then hoard. Cause who would not want to use up their stash, right?

I want to showcase a cute Halloween card...I tend to hoard Doodlebug items and this Halloween collection is no exception...I used the super cute    to create these cards! There are lots of Doodlebug items listed for sale over on the website...not this one but I am sure you will find something you like!

Supplies Used:
Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies 6x6 Pad
Doodlebug Orange and White Twine
La La Land Dragon Luka Stamp
Copic Markers
Jillibean Soup Witches Brew Pea Pod Parts
Cardstock from my very large stash!

I have been hanging on to these items for quite a while! LOL!

And then a Christmas card....and even better this paper pad is for sale over at the website!

Supplies Used
American Crafts "Holiday" 6x6 (this is for sale at the website)
La La Land Paper Doll Marci: Christmas Elf
Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils...I am still learning
to use these but they are soooo nice

I was going to put sequins on it and totally forgot!
