One Fabulous Card!

I have a wonderful card for you today. The Cuttin and Stampin team is sponsoring The Scrapbooking Queen today. Check her out she is having one heck of a giveaway. I have a boatload of birthdays in the first few months of the year so I used this opportunity to get one of those under my belt. I tried a new technique with the flower. I punched several large scallop shapes out of the Papaya cardstock and then soaked them in water for several minutes. Then, I stacked them together and scrunched them and let them dry overnight. I sure like the look of them. I only wish I had inked them with some grape ink to match the card base. Hope I have inspired you today to get to crafting.

We're so happy you could join us today!
If you came from Vanessa's blog then you are in the right place. If not please start at Melanie's Blog http://afternoonscrapper.blogspot.com, we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

I had soooo much fun with this blog hop...I had this big huge Valentine's breakfast for my 5 youngest grandchildren and of course wanted everything to look festive. So I have a warning this post is going to be very photo heavy! Every single one of my photos do not fit the requirement of the "heart" blog hop...but I wanted to show you all of the decorations. I am so sorry that I did not get a whole room shot.

I used the paper Lucky in Love by My Mind's Eye! Love it!!

Prima flower jars with conversation hearts with glitter heart picks and a few Cricut cuts to add to the mix.

These 2 hearts were cut from Paisley...I cut the Mama as large as she would go!

I got this cute decor from Hobby Lobby at 50% off cause it was damaged.
Where the picture of my hubby and I sits was the damaged part...so I added the little frame and the silver swirly. I just love the way it turned out.

Sorry this picture did not turn out well. I made a little conversation heart tree.

Another Hobby Lobby find...I altered it by adding some lace, pearls, and the lovely pink flower.

My banner hung across my hutch. I showed this in an earlier hop at the beginning of the month.

A Pinterest inspired project. I used cupcake liners to create this topiary.

Hope some of these projects have inspired your "heart" to get going and craft something.

Banner Bonanza Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Banner Bonanza Blog Hop!

We're so glad you could join us today! If you've come from Angela's blog, you're in the right place. If you've just come across the hop, please start at the beginning with Ashley at Made Especially For You.

I created... this great banner for my hutch and Valentine decor. Hopefully by Sunday or Monday at the latest I will have the whole hutch decor finished and you can come back and take a look. I used red bazzill cardstock for the pennant. I cut them from two different cartridges and for the life of me cannot find what the base was. The top banner piece was from Birthday Bash and the circle was from George and basic shapes. The bird was cut from Give a Hoot and the Cupid cut from Sweethearts. I then embellished with blingy ribbon, twine, some glitter letters, and some 3 dimensional flowers...one of my favorite scrap embellishments.

One of my scrapping goals for this year is to make a banner for my hutch for all major holidays/seasons so this hop was absolutely perfect for helping to fulfill that goal.

Banners are so hard to photograph!!!

Here are my pics!

These are the two end pieces...hope I have inspired you!

The patterned paper on this banner was A Muse Studio paper. The twine is also from A Muse. You can get some of that wonderful product here.

We also have some fabulous sponsors giving away prizes
