Scrapbook Blessings Day!

So glad you could join us today. I have some great party decorations to share with you today. This is going to be a photo heavy post...there were several decorations and one really sweet picture of my daddy.

My sister and I surprised my dad with an 80th birthday party! He did not even know I was coming from Florida to North Carolina! I was so happy we were able to surprise him.

Tip: Be prepared for any type of wall situation. Since I was unsure of the conditions I was going to find with walls and where I needed to put the décor, I went prepared with tape, ribbon, and even some small nails. It ended up I just needed to use the packing tape.

I used the newer Cricut cartridge Create a Friend to do all the décor...this is absolutely the cutest cartridge I have ever seen! I would say definitely a must if you have a Cricut machine!

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the current challenge here at Scrapbook Blessings Club!

Cuttin' and Stampin' Day!

I am loving this paper!!! I HAVE to get the whole collection! I used what Tammy from Cuttin' and Stampin' sent to the Design Team to create this page for the title page of my 2014 annual scrapbook. We had just had family photos done right before so I decided to use this photo shoot as the beginning of that album. The only thing not completed here on this layout is the journaling. And I need to ponder that...Thanks for taking a peek over here at my layout!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Cuttin' and Stampin' DT's creations and joing in on our challenge!

Scrapbook Blessings Design Team!

Life has been super busy lately in the Russell household...lots of birthdays, celebrations, and ball season has started. This grandma is at almost every single game so life does not slow down in the Spring season it speeds up! Anyhow, crafting does not take a back seat and I make sure to still spend a bit of time each and every day to craft...when I am at home. Right now, I am in the state of NC doing one of those celebrations I mentioned earlier...my sister, brother, and I threw a surprise 80th birthday party for my dad. It went off without a hitch. I created this card to send to the pastor of the church my dad and step-mom attend to thank them for opening the church for us to host this very special event.

Tip: Sometimes use a fun color for your sentiment rather than always using black.

Come on and stop by the Scrapbook Blessings Club and see all the other creations the design team has made. And make sure you join in on our challenge!

52 Thursdays of Christmas #5

Thanks for hopping over here and taking a look at my video. Would love if you would subscribe to my You Tube channel. Since I am so new at this I would also treasure some feedback from my viewers. Hope you are enjoying getting ready for Christmas all throughout the year. I know I sure am.

I kind of got behind a bit so I renumbered my videos on You Tube...wanted them to stay in succession. I plan to get caught up by doing some mini card/tags as my next project and also not filming them and just taking photos of them then create a video with just the photos. I hope I have not bitten off more than I could chew with this video card series. But, I really wanted to do it so I am just going to plug along...hoping I can get ahead later this month.

The team is still celebrating and hoping for spring with our challenge this week. We have used Teresa Collins "Daily Stories" paper and Paper Smooches "Flap Happy" stamp set. Make sure you visit all of the blogs and see what the team has to inspire you this week. You are not going to want to miss these fabulous projects. Make sure you enter your creation with a butterfly into our challenge and also remember to visit the Cuttin' and Stampin' store to get all your spring scrapping supplies.

I am up today over at Cuttin' and Stampin' with a fabulous layout. Trying really hard to get all caught up in my annual albums to at least something manageable. This is a cutie picture of two of my grandsons, oh in early 2011. It feels so good to be working on and finishing things. I went to a 1 day crop last week and finished 18 pages!!!

And I created a card for my daughter's stash.

Check out the Cuttin' and Stampin' store for all your scrappy supplies!

Be sure to head on over to the Cuttin' and Stampin' blog and check out all the other projects and then join our challenge.

Challenge for Scrapbook Blessings Club!

The newest challenge is up at Scrapbook Blessings Club! Come join us and enter your card or layout for a chance to win. We have a great time and have lots of fun...we also have a Facebook group...fun crafting, games, challenges...come on and join us.

I am working on a stash of cards to send to my daughter for her to have to send out. Why? Well, cause she asked, and said real nicely "why would I want to buy cards when my crafty mom makes beautiful ones?" Who can turn down a request like that?

front of card                                                             inside of card

Tip: Your focused feature for the challenge does not necessarily have to be on the front of the card.
Additional Tip: When using digi stamps print more than one so you will have practice sheets.
