Year End Reflections of 2021

I have some things to look back on and reflect on from 2021...then moving on to 2022

I thought I would answer the following questions to reflect on the past year.

1.  What is the most important lesson you learned this year?

The most important lesson I learned this year is to keep moving forward and that my family is the most important aspect of my life. I need to spend as much time with them as I can.

2.  What is the best thing that happened?

The best thing that happened this year is that I began working with this wonderful lady who owns a small online crafting store. After closing my store in 2021 we became close and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of her business.

3.  What challenges did you overcome?

I have overcome the challenge of beginning a new health journey. It was difficult at times but I have lost 47lbs as of today.

 4.  What did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed making cards and donating them to the nursing homes each month.

5.  What was your favourite moment?

Of course I enjoyed all the moments I spent with my family and grandchildren but my most enjoyable moment of the year was my granddaughter's 16th birthday party.

6.  What new habits did you start?

I began an exercise regimen to help aid with my health journey. I typically go to the gym 4-5 days a week.

7. What are you the most proud of this year?

I am most proud of the journey I have started to continue my journey to get healthy.

8. What was the best decision you took?

The best decision I took was to begin this health journey.

9. How did you fail?

I failed by procrastinating on too many things, often my commitments were not completed on time and it caused stress in my life and people not to be able to take my word.

10. What got in the way of your success?

My procrastination, my weakness, and my lack of keeping my word at times. I am also weak emotionally and need to work on getting stronger emotionally.

11. What would you do differently if you could?

Stay tuned to tomorrow's blog post for the answer to this question.

12. How are you different than a year ago?

A year ago I was very stressed and overworked and did not spend enough time with my husband and family. I have definitely changed much of that.

13. What are you thankful for this year?

I am extremely thankful for the lessons I have learned this year.

14. What was the best compliment you received?

The best compliment I received was that I looked amazing after the weight loss that I have accomplished.

15. What advice would you give your last-year self?

The best advice I would give my last year self would be to step up and honor my commitments and begin to improve my emotions, and kick my procrastination to the curb!

Day 7 of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

I am back again today for Day 7...I had a rough couple days and was not feeling up to posting the past 2 days...

Anyhow, I wanted to definitely post for the last 2 days...so I will be back tomorrow as well!

I was unable to really showcase the Peppermint Latte collection from Not 2 Shabby cause it sold out so fast. So I am using it here for today. The ephemera that I used is still available to purchase...would go great with some plaid papers in that color scheme.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my card!

Day 4 of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Getting those Christmas cards done is what is on the agenda lately!

Today I used a digital image from Not 2 Shabby Shop...I colored it up several weeks ago and it was just waiting to go onto the perfect card! I pulled out some paper (Photo Play) and embellishments (very old) to round out the design on my card! I love how this one turned out!

Build Your Holiday Stash Day 7

It is the last day of the Falling for the Holidays Blog hop put on by the Build Your Holiday Stash group. I am so excited to have been able to participate more and to once again be a sponsor!

I have created some quick and easy cards cause I have a ton of cards I need to catch up on...I am at right around 125 and I need 275 by Christmas! YIKES! So I am in full blown Christmas card making mode!

I used June 2019 card sketch from Call Me Crafty Al to create these super fun and quick cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Build Your Holiday Stash Day 6

Hello my Crafty Friends! I am back again today with the other 4 cards I mentioned in yesterday’s blog post. No stamps today! I used cutaparts from one of the sheets of paper!

Making Christmas cards is my most favorite type of card to make…and it is a good thing because I need around 275 cards each Christmas…for my nursing home donations and my own personal cards! So participating in this hop was fantastic! I love taking either a mini-collection or a whole paper pad and creating Christmas cards. I am in crunch mode so you will be seeing Christmas cards more than likely until right up before Christmas.

Do you ever get tired of making Christmas cards? I don’t and maybe the reason why is I don’t mass produce the same card for all of my cards. I love the variety of all the Christmas products that are available.

Now, here’s a look at the 4 cards I created…all the same sketch…different cutaparts…different papers…same embellishments. I love how these turned out!

Make sure you take a look at all the wonderful inspiration provided over at Build Your Holiday Stash Blog and maybe even enter your own card….there are some amazing prizes!

I used digital images from Not 2 Shabby Shop for today's post and video. I colored these images up with my Ohuhu markers. I like to color in the living room in the evenings while watching TV with my husband.

I hope you enjoy watching the video.

A Close Up Look at the Cards.

Build Your Holiday Stash Blog Hop | Falling for the Holidays! Day 2

I am back today with my project that I created from the leftover Mystery Collection pieces I used in yesterday's post. I am a sponsor of the Build Your Holiday Stash Blog Hop again and the prize I am offering are 3 Christmas themed Mystery Collections.

You can read all about Mystery Collections in yesterday's blog post. I explain what they are and where you can purchase them.

Using my leftover pieces I created 3 gift tags to use on holiday gifts. I didn't have a whole lot of scraps so I went with a strip method. I also didn't want the tags to be such a stark white so I used my distress oxide inks in Frayed Burlap and Tea Dye to give them some color. I colored up the owl again for all 3 tags and used him and the adorable sentiment on the tags in small circles so the strips could still be highlighted. I then used the twine that came in the collection to create the "tassel" on my tag. Super quick project to do!

Copic Colors Used:
Owl's Body: E25, E23, E21
Owl's Scarf: R39, R37, RR35

These are all the scraps that were leftover from the
Mystery Collection I used. I still have the stamp
to go in my stash!

Thanks for stopping by...be sure to enter in the Build Your Holiday Stash blog hop for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! See you tomorrow!

Falling for the Holidays Blog Hop: Build your Holiday Stash

I am so excited to be here today and I am also one of the sponsors on the hop.
I am offering for the prizes 3 different Christmas themed Mystery Collections. What is a mystery collection you ask? Well let me tell you! A Mystery Collection is a subscription you can purchase over at Not 2 Shabby Shop (also a sponsor).

A Mystery Collection typically includes: 6 pieces of pattern paper, a stamp, and 3 various embellishments. For my project today I have taken a Mystery Collection and shown just what you can do with such a small amount of supplies.

Here is a picture of what my Mystery Collection included.

And I created 6 cards using a Sheetload of Cards from Call Me Crafty Al. She is over on YouTube and if you do not know about her, please check her out....those sheetloads are fantastic!

Here we go all laid out and ready to assemble!

My 6 finished cards. I will go back a bit later and put some sentiments on the 4 that don't have sentiments. Or, you could do without. I wanted to show what you could do by just using the kit contents.

This is what I had leftover. This will be tomorrow's project to submit! Just enough paper scraps to make some tags!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to enter your projects in the blog hop to win. Listed below is the link for the Build Your Holiday Stash Blog...where you can find all the details for the hop.
