Scrapbook Blessings Club Day!!!

Good Morning..I have a product review to share with you today and I am just thrilled about this technique. I am going to share how to use embossing paste and a stencil today. Come join in the fun!

Tip: Make sure you wash your stencil and tools immediately after using. It does dry quickly.

I am working on making a variety of cards to send to my daughter to use as generic cards when she needs to send one out. She recently told me "with such a crafty mother, I should not have to buy cards that I really don't like anyhow." LOL! Then proceeded to ask, "You wouldn't mind making me some cards would you?" Well what's a mother to do except get busy making cards? So here is my first attempt at using embossing paste and stencils. I think I could really get into this!

First here are my supplies I used:

Then I applied the paste on the stencil...so very sorry I forgot to take a picture of applying the paste.
Here is the paste after I applied the silver embossing powder.

And the final card.

Supplies Used:
Dreamweaver Embossing Paste: Translucent
Top Boss Embossing Mini Ink Pad
Zing White Embossing Powder
Inkadinkadoo Embossing Buddy
Hampton Arts Acrylic Block
Stampin Up Sterling Silver Embossing Powder
My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio 6x6 papers
Kraft Cardstock
Paper Smooches "Salutations"
The Crafter's Workshop Balzer Designs " Mini Pattern Strips"
Twine (from my stash)

Thank you so much for joining me today. All in all the embossing paste and stencil technique is super! I really like it and will continue to build my stencil and paste collection. In fact the paste was not even mine, I borrowed it from a friend cause I really wanted to try this technique.

Design Team Day with Cuttin' and Stampin'

Happy Tuesday! Sunshiny and headed toward the upper 70s. Now that is what I call great weather! So sorry about all you Northern folks that are snowed in, but this Florida gal is so happy that spring like weather is on the way!  Anyhow, that leads me to today's project....as hubby and I were out shopping this weekend I looked at all the beautiful and colorful flowers...and oh I was wishing I could get out in my gardens...both flowers and vegetable. But alas, it is a tad bit early to do that here in the middle of February so I must just wish and to handle that wish I turned to my paper crafting.

I have recently started making little seasonal scenes out of my 6x6 paper pads to adorn my scrapbook room. So, I created a little gardening scene to hang up for the rest of this month. Hope you enjoy!

Be sure to head on over to Cuttin' and Stampin' to see all the other lovely creations the Green Team has brought for you today. And you will also want to create your own spring item to enter into our challenge!

Challenge for Scrapbook Blessings Club!

It is Challenge Sunday again over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. The Design Team is sharing all sorts of awesome fold cards with you today! My daughter from Oregon called upon her mother's creative skills this past week and asked if I could get some cards together for her to have on hand when she needed a birthday card or a thank-you, or even just a generic card to send a thoughtful greeting to someone. So, I thought well let me get started on that. I had the perfect paper on hand to use this fabulous digi image from Wags and Wiskers so I colored my little fairy to compliment the paper collection. It is a very old collection from Close to My Heart. I also need to ask all of my followers to please forgive me...I know the card looks unfinished...I have been staying/keeping my grandchildren all week and although I brought all the supplies from my house to create the card...I plain forgot any embellishments to finish off the card...so I will have to do that before I send the card off to my daughter. Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget you will have two weeks to enter your own fold card in our challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club.

Supplies:
Paper: Close to My Heart: A Perfect Day
Wags and Wiskers Digi Image: Hannah
Spectrum-Noir Markers

And the inspiration for the card and the fold idea came from here...Fun Fold

Scrapbook Blessings Club Challenge Sunday!

So glad all of you joined me today! I created an awesome project for the current challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club. Our theme is "Love is in the Air." The team created ATC cards to share with you...well, that is way out of my comfort zone and I really did not know what I was going to do with such a card. Well, I spent the last month at my sister's house in North Carolina helping her get settled in her new house. The main reason I went was she asked me to design, create, and decorate her first ever scrapbook room. I had a blast and we took some awesome pictures of the two of us. So, my ATC card is going to be used as a title on a layout of pictures of my sister's scrap room!

Tip: When creating something outside of your comfort
zone create something you will use in your own crafting.

So head on over to the Scrapbook Blessings Club and see what all the other team members created to inspire your "love is in the air" themed crafting. Make sure you join us in the challenge that is going on until 2/15. Can't wait to see what my followers can do!

Special incentive...if you are a follower of my blog and you enter a creation in the Scrapbook Blessings Club challenge I will draw for a little prize from those from the entries that follow me. Thanks for playing along with me.
