A New Project and Almost a New Year!

This project was super easy! I had this menu board on my fridge that I absolutely loved, but alas all good things must come to an end sooner or later. I searched the internet for hours looking for one exactly like it but failed to find one. So searching for new ideas, I found this idea on Pinterest and decided to try it out. I worked on it the other day and finished it tonight and hung it up. Not sure I am going to totally love it the way I did the one on the fridge but it is cute!! It will be really easy to switch out the papers too. So I may do that every couple of months, but then again I may not.
I plan menus on Sunday mornings for the week to come. I am totally lost without knowing what I am having for dinner that night. It really keeps me on track.

You really are getting two posts in one tonight: It is New Year's Eve and as I sit here tonight with my hubby and reflect on this past year, I can truly say it has been a very emotional, life-changing, and eye-opening one. There have been some unpleasant events happen this year and then there have been some very wonderful ones. All in all, I feel very blessed to have the family that I do and that they are there for me no matter what. So, here is to a fresh, renewed 2012!

Yummy Cupcakes!!

I made Raspberry Hot Chocolate cupcakes with Raspberry Whipped Cream Frosting to wow my sister and niece with my newly acquired cupcake baking skills. I really enjoy baking cupcakes and am working on perfecting this skill. I might like to someday have a side business making cupcakes for people. But, we will see. For now just enjoying the pleasure of baking them and seeing people enjoy them!

Cupcakes for Hubby

Well a very good friend told me last night that it takes 30 days for a change to stick. So I plan to try my best to post every day for the next 30 days. So this is Day 2 post. One of the changes that I want to make in the future is to be pro-active and not just talk about doing things. My hubby wanted me to bake cupcakes...my newfound hobby...for him to take to work. So after 1 failed attempt (that recipe was awful) I have made what I hope is wonderful Apple Cinnamon Cupcakes with Vanilla Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting. And because cupcakes cannot be naked...a dusting of Cinnamon sugar on top. I got to use my brand new red Kitchen Aid stand mixer I got for Christmas!! I was in heaven using it. So here are a few pictures to get your mouth watering.

Isn't this red stand mixer just gorgeous?

A Fresh New Start

I am beginning this new blog to journal about my fresh, new start with many things in my life. Some of them I will talk about and some I will probably keep to myself. I have had a life-changing experience recently and have realized that I must do some things in my life to begin anew. The #1 thing I plan to conquer is to quit being a procrastinator and stop beginning things and never finishing them. So tomorrow morning (when I can take a picture and upload) I will begin by sharing my latest and newest project from start to finish! Yeah!!

Until later, Teresa
