Scrapping for Less Proudly Introduces Newton's Nook!

I am super proud and excited to introduce the new holiday (and some not so new) line of products at Scrapping for Less. The Design Team members have worked extra hard and fast to bring you some great ideas using some of these products. There are some great projects here! You can click on the banner above and go straight to the Newton's Nook products. The products are in limited quantities so you just might want to go ahead and shop now...just saying. 😉

I chose the beautiful snowflake stamp set called...Beautiful Blizzard

I created several cards to add to the stash I need for a card sale I am participating in. These were just the perfect additions!

I used several different techniques and products on these cards.

Head to the Scrapping for Less store to find the brand new Newton's Nook
items and also check out the shop as well for all sorts of goodies!

Leave a comment on each blog and you will be entered into a random drawing for a product goodie! Also, since this release focuses on the holidays all of the Newton Nook offerings are from their holiday line up.

Living a Dream!

Have you ever had a dream? I don't mean a dream while you are asleep. I mean a dream, a vision, a goal, a passion? Well, I have and guess what? I am living that dream. With a wonderful man that just retired 2 weeks ago, we are living the dream. A dream we have had for all of our married life. A dream to be able to relax, take it easy, be together, and enjoy family! And that is just what we have done lately! Here are a few photos of enjoying life lately....

Being able to go have lunch as a family with these three kiddos at the Thanksgiving Family Feast....priceless!

Celebrating my wonderful husband's retirement with the family....extremely priceless!

and the most special one of all...the silly pic!

Scrapping for Less: Grand Opening Blog Hop!

Hello All!
Happy Saturday! We are so excited to bring you a blog hop celebrating the opening of scrappingforless.com ! We wanted to do something fun for you all as you are the best customers under the sun and have helped make this dream a reality.
So before we get busy hopping we need to let you all know a few bits of information for this new site.
·         All items that are on the website are what we consider “leftovers” which means they are not new to any of you that order through the FaceBook Group on a regular basis.
·         Scrappingforless.com will be available 24 hours, 7 days a week so that you can go shopping AND you can check out as well with a credit card or PayPal whichever method you prefer.
·         scrappingforless.com WILL NOT be replacing Scrapping For Less FaceBook Group, so if you are looking for Scrap Supplies at less than retail prices the FaceBook Group is STILL the place where all the pre-order albums will be listed.

There will be lots of fun games, prizes and scrappy things going on Saturday with the Facebook Event. You will want to be there. Each blog will have a small giveaway with the Scrapping for Less blog having a bigger one. To be eligible to win each blog's prize you will need to comment on the individual blogs but to win the Scrapping for Less prize you will need to comment on each blog and the SFL blog. So try to be there! You are going to want to join in on the fun!

Each one of the blog hop participants has created something using older products they purchased from Scrapping for Less. Since the focus of the website will be to sell what I term as "leftovers" yet fabulous and great products we have focused on those items we as crafters seem to purchase and then hoard. Cause who would not want to use up their stash, right?

I want to showcase a cute Halloween card...I tend to hoard Doodlebug items and this Halloween collection is no exception...I used the super cute    to create these cards! There are lots of Doodlebug items listed for sale over on the website...not this one but I am sure you will find something you like!

Supplies Used:
Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies 6x6 Pad
Doodlebug Orange and White Twine
La La Land Dragon Luka Stamp
Copic Markers
Jillibean Soup Witches Brew Pea Pod Parts
Cardstock from my very large stash!

I have been hanging on to these items for quite a while! LOL!

And then a Christmas card....and even better this paper pad is for sale over at the website!

Grand Opening of Scrapping for Less Website

Keep calm you say…well that is sometimes not in my nature! I am trying, though. Anyhow, I wanted to give an update here about what happened to me the past 5 months! I just kind of fell off the face of the blogosphere. But, thankfully not off the face of the earth!

I began a journey last May to open my own website and well that took up lots and lots of my time. At first, I thought I was going to go the DIY route in building my own website. Sometimes, (and don’t get me wrong, I love YouTube!) YouTube is just not all that easy or at least following someone’s tutorial. Because I came to the conclusion that you really need to know something about HTML to be able to build your own website. And let’s face it…I know just a tiny bit about the computer world and HTML is not in that knowledge base.
So, after fussing with the DIY portion of it for almost 2 months I hired someone to build a website for me. At first, things went beautifully, then frustration set in as the communication between myself and the designer seemed to grow weaker and weaker and the 2-3 week promised time frame turned into 8 weeks. But, I finally have a working website and so I plan to be back to blogging and sharing my creations. Growing my business is going to be front and center for the next several months so getting on with blogging and sharing is going to be key!

First up is an online Facebook event celebrating my GrandOpening! Come join in the fun Saturday, Oct 15th from 9-6. There will be lots of games, prizes, and a blog hop to join in the fun with. Hope you can be there and celebrate with me!

In the meantime check out the website...read the blog entries, browse the shop (you might even want to buy something), sign up for the newsletter, and jump on board for a grand adventure!! Scrapping for Less: We promise to be your place to shop for great priced paper crafting supplies!

Make It Happen-2016 (Mini Sleep Series-PT II)

So, good morning my friends! Hope this Monday finds you fantastically wonderful! I am here today to give you an update on how my sleep pattern and getting things started earlier is going.

Well, it is going pretty good I would sayof course there is always room for improvement though.
Since I last posted the end of March about this I have averaged going back to bed only once a weekand therefore have increased my productivity.
For instance, this morning I
   Made the bed
Cleaned the kitchen
Made my breakfast (which included baking muffins)
Did two loads of laundry
Straightened and picked up from the weekend
Took a shower

And I did all of this by 8:00 am!

I only have 5 months to be really productive because at the end of this year (mid-November) my whole schedule/pattern will change again when my hubby retires. Looking forward to it but I know it will be a big change.

Here are a couple resources for you about sleep habits and patternsif you struggle like I have in the past I hope you will find them helpfulnext installment of the mini-sleep series will come at the end of June.

Have a fantastic daystart it early!

Make It Happen-2016

Note: I wrote a draft of this post and never published it back at the beginning of April, well here it is mid-May and I am just know posting. I am going to go ahead and post this and update within the list below and then add on a list for May.

What a beautiful Monday morning! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I am full of life!  I have totally reset my life. If you will remember I talked about this back in January and how I was going to make some major changes in my life. Well, sometimes life has other plans for you and I had many obstacles that were preventing me from heading on the path I wanted to travel on…well I decided that all that was going to change beginning the month of April . So, I began some serious mind decluttering, list making, kicking into gear mode.
Here is the list of things I plan to accomplish for April:
Get the scraproom painted…and begin to organize and decorate...scraproom was painted, organization has begun to happen.
Get the interior of the house painted…and put back together....this happened and was all finished...YAY!
Begin (again) my daily Scripture writing plan....I did begin this however, as things got moved and packed away for the painting to happen my journal and Bible I use where among the things that got packed away...hopefully I will get back to this
Create my list making pages for the month and keep up with listing...unfortunately I have decided this is not something that I can fit into my schedule at this time
Get pictures printed for Tyler’s album and get started!....I HAVE to get started on this!!!
Get retirement folder set up...all is together just need to get it done
   Business
a.       Send invoices and place order....got this done...in fact I sent in 7 orders this month!
b.       Mid-month order...done
c.        Tax documentation notebook set up...done, need to update a couple pages
d.       Blog and other items designed...has been paid for...just in the process
Get one room of the house completely organized and decluttered...still working on...Master Bedroom is almost there....next room will be living room

May List...at least the rest of the month
Finish the decor in the Scrapbook room
Track my meals in my Fitness planner every single week this month.
Exercise at least twice a day 5 days a week.
Get Tyler's photo album completed.
Get Tyler's surprise done
Keep up with my daily schedule,
Order photos for the picture frames around the house.
Order photos for Ireland and Italy album
Business plans for future outlined

So, as you see lots has happened lately...my life has been full of ups and downs so far this year. Hoping I can get back on track and on a solid schedule to get things accomplished that need to happen in my world.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to care about what is going on with me!
