Summer Time Blog Hop

Good Sunday Morning Ladies!

I am sharing today a wonderful layout I created recently at my annual summertime scrapcation. I got so much accomplished on the 5 day trip. So excited that lots of layouts are going in my annual albums. Here is a really cute summertime one I did of my 3 grandchildren with my oldest daughter "Aunt Holly" when we went to Epcot. Visiting with her is very special cause she lives way way far away as my grandson Lane says...we live in Florida and she lives in Oregon, so we treasure her visits.

Design Team Day!!

#24
Challenge:   Case It
June 18 - 24, 2013

I LOVE "Scraplifting" cause it gives you an idea to use as a springboard. I found this card right around the time we were doing the umbrella challenge and already had this adorable stamp set I had never used, so wanted to try this. I know, I know, Spring is officially over. I will probably hang onto this card and use it next year and brighten someone's day with it. Anyhow, here is my take on the card.

And here is my inspiration!

It came from this blog.

Create your own Case It Project and enter in this weeks challenge. Go to the Cuttin and Stampin blog to get all the details.
Please make sure your blog links back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

My Newest Adventure!

I embarked on a new adventure just recently. I have opened a Facebook Group where I am selling new, hot, trendy, current, have to have it right now scrapbook supplies! And the best part is the cost is less than most retail locations. I also am willing to take special requests and see if I can obtain whatever you are looking for. All you have to do is click on the badge...it will also be on the sidebar for easy access later...then ask to join the Facebook group Scrapping for Less. I typically approve new members very quickly. Then, you can take a look around and see what I have to offer! Hope to see you soon!

Summer is Here Blog Hop!!

I am so excited to start off this summer! I recently retired and this will be my very first summer as a retired teacher! I started off the summer with a scrapcation trip to a timeshare with 3 other girlfriends. I was able to get 38 pages completed!! Go ME! I am trying my best to get at least through all of 2011 by the end of this year. I don't scrap chronologically but I do put my pages in my albums that way! So, therefore, I think that way!...I am almost finished with the first half of 2011, then I have 3 sets of pics left over from 2010, and 1 set from 2009...those I want to photo edit so they have been put off for far too long!

Anyhow, I scrapped some awesome summer pages this past week for this hop!

Thanks for joining us on this hop. I hope you found some great inspiration!

And here is the most awesome prize package donated by the fantastic Suzanne from Zannie Berry Creations.

I love Sunshine so when I heard about this hop I immediately said, " IM IN"!
This is what I have made for you today, this makes my day feel like there is a little more sunshine in it.

My layout today is for my daughter who lives all the way in Oregon...so I (her mom) and my youngest daughter (her sister) and my grandchildren ( here niece and nephews) decided we would send her a box of Florida Sunshine. I gave her several years ago one of those really nice Creative Memory Wall Hangers that you can put up layouts on. Well, she does not scrapbook so my job is to keep it furnished with scrapbook layouts throughout the year. (Something I fail miserably at!) So I jump at the chance to create a layout for her. So when the theme of this blog hop was announced I knew that was perfect. Due to it being the very end of the school year and end of baseball season we were crunched for time to get the rest of the box ready. If you come back here on Thursday of this next week I will have a pic of the rest of the box for you. My grandchildren are working on creating something for "their" Aunt Holly...whom they adore I might add! So, here is my layout...Aunt Holly came during the summer of 2011 and we went to Epcot one day while she was here. This is a picture taken of the three kids and her while there. She will be very excited about this layout.

Now for the good stuff!

It's Design Team Day!

#20
Challenge:   Use a Bike

Dates:  May 21-27,  2013

Hello Everyone.  I scrapbook a mixture of whatever inspires me  along with a little dab of chronological scrapping. Cause they HAVE to go in those albums in a very orderly fashion...heehee. So today, I have a layout from Easter 2011. It was a very special one cause both of my children that live here were there. That does not always happen. Well, I hope you like the layout and get inspired to "take a ride" down memory lane!

I used Echo Park's Sweet Day Collection for this layout along with some bling and pearl embellishments.

So head on over to Cuttin' and Stampin' to see all the other inspirations for this week.

My Very First Shaped Card!

#19
Challenge:   Shaped Cards

Dates:  May 14-20,  2013

I created my first shaped card today. This is very simple and did not exactly turn out like I had envisioned, however, it is going in a box I am sending to my daughter in Oregon. The theme of the box is "Here's your Florida Sunshine." So I hope you enjoy this very simple, easy to make card....maybe you could even think of a way for me to make this card a little better.

I cut out the sun from Hello Kitty Greetings at 6". The base of the card is the blackout cut welded together at the very tip top. I outlined the face cuts with a Stampin' Up orange marker. Then, I outlined the edges of the sun with a gold glitter Gelly Roll pen. (you cannot see this in my image.)

Head on over to Cuttin and Stampin to see all the shaped cards this week and to link up and join our challenge!
