Today is the Day! I am beginning a brand new monthly series/challenge...I am so very excited about this!
If you did not read yesterday's blog post please stop here and go back and read that post first. So here are all the particulars you will want to know.
If you would like to join us welcome! I have always been a fan of various types of fonts and hand lettering. In fact, my favorite types of fonts are script fonts! So, welcome I am so glad you are here with me! March's prompt is pictured down below. I hope you will love this as much as I do. ❤️ ๐คฉ✨๐
If you would like to join, HERE’S HOW IT WORKS! ✍๐ป๐
Hello my fellow crafters, planners and anyone else who loves to dabble in all kinds of crafts! I have wanted to learn how to do hand lettering/brush lettering for a very long time. At one time I followed @mermaidslogic (Ashley) ๐ง♀️ on Instagram and did her monthly lettering prompts. It was fun to write out the words in various lettering each month. Ashley stopped doing the hand lettering sometime ago and I really didn't realize how much I missed it until last month when I was writing in a notebook and came across the few lists that I had completed.
So, on my new quest to improve myself I reached out to Ashley and asked her if she would mind if I take up the task of putting out a monthly Handlettering List prompt each month. She gave me her blessing and so I am jumping on this bandwagon to begin my journey of learning hand lettering. ✍️
I am also following Judi of JLBCrafts on YouTube to practice letters. She does a hand lettering video every Sunday.
The prompts begin on March 1st with the March list. I decided for March to use Wacky Holidays. Now let me give a bit of explanation to my list...my birthday is in March so on that day I used the word "birthday." I am on the Not 2 Shabby Design Team and design papers, ephemera, and sometimes stamps for Jamie so I included the names of the paper pads for March. My dad's birthday is in March as well so I put the word "Dad"on his birthday. Basically anything that had meaning to me on that day I tried to use that word.
I will be back tomorrow with the list and the explanation of how I am doing this and hashtags so you can tag me should you choose to do this list writing.
Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you all the best with your list writing. ๐✍️
Today is the last Saturday of the month! Today is going to be all about something I love and that has become a very important part of my life. This is going to probably be a long story!
That person was Jamie of Not 2 Shabby Shop...so we began chatting and talking and her Box of the Month was born...then it has expanded from there...So what does this have to do with love? I absolutely LOVE designing and am able to continue doing that....BUT so much more developed from this. I feel like I made a life long friend, I was able to pour myself into someone who also owned a small business cause that task is not an easy feat when you are doing it all by yourself.
It thrills my soul to be a mentor and friend to Jamie and I am totally in love with the friendship we have developed and the fact I can help her in anyway that I can.
She recently reached 10K subscribers on YouTube and today just happens to be the Celebration Video hop...There are some awesome prizes! And if you happen to be searching for a small paper crafting store to purchase from, well you cannot get any better than Not 2 Shabby Shop! If you would like to follow along with the Video hop here is the first stop~
My card for today is also a subject that I absolutely love! I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE making coffee cards...This one is up of the Not 2 Shabby blog today for the last inspiration for the Mood Board challenge for February!
Hi All! I missed last Saturday due to being away at my daughter's house doing grandma duties for 4 days. Love being able to help out and let me daughter and son-in-law connect and get away. I feel that is so important for a couple. It is something that my hubby and I were not fortunate enough to be able to do when we had children at home, so I am thankful I can help out in that way!
So, to catch up my word for February is LOVE! Of course...I am a very seasonal type person so it was fitting to use this word for the month of Feb!
Hello my friends! So sorry I wasn't here last week...I was off to Oregon visiting my grandson who turned 5! I do wish time would slow down!!!
He went high flying for his birthday! He was so brave!
